Al momento de la evaluaci\u00f3n solo estaba disponible en la regi\u00f3n la versi\u00f3n de motor de combusti\u00f3n interna (ICE, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s).<\/p>\n<p>Ante la llegada al mercado de la versi\u00f3n hibrida enchufable (PHEV, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), Latin NCAP ahora la evalu\u00f3 para confirmar o no que ambas versiones ofrecen el mismo nivel de estrellas.<\/p>\n<p>Las versiones ICE y PHEV del Mitsubishi Outlander tienen diferencias arquitect\u00f3nicas debido al sistema de propulsi\u00f3n. Por lo tanto, Latin NCAP realiz\u00f3 nuevamente la prueba de impacto frontal as\u00ed como la prueba de alce (Moose test) de la versi\u00f3n PHEV para su confirmaci\u00f3n, las cuales mostraron ligeras diferencias de desempe\u00f1o dentro de los m\u00e1rgenes aceptables de Latin NCAP.<\/p>\n<p>La Protecci\u00f3n para Ocupante Adulto se actualiz\u00f3, sin embargo, el modelo alcanza robustamente los requisitos de cinco estrellas.<\/p>\n<p>El Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV es el primer modelo evaluado por Latin NCAP equipado con una bolsa de aire central, un elemento de seguridad ya requerido en otros mercados como Europa y Estados Unidos para alcanzar buenos puntajes en las pruebas de consumidores locales y que Latin NCAP incorporar\u00e1 en el futuro.<\/p>\n<p>El Mitsubishi Outlander fabricado en Jap\u00f3n obtuvo cinco estrellas. El Outlander con siete bolsas de aire (dos frontales, una para las rodillas del conductor, dos laterales para el cuerpo y dos laterales de cortina para la cabeza) y Control Electr\u00f3nico de Estabilidad (ESC) como equipamiento est\u00e1ndar, logr\u00f3 87,11% en Ocupante Adulto, 91,33% en Ocupante Infantil, 54,71% en Protecci\u00f3n a Peatones y Usuarios Vulnerables de las V\u00edas y 84,17% en Asistencia a la Seguridad.<\/p>\n<p>El veh\u00edculo fue evaluado en impacto frontal, impacto lateral, impacto lateral de poste, latigazo cervical (whiplash), protecci\u00f3n a peatones, frenado aut\u00f3nomo de emergencia (AEB) en ciudad e interurbano, detecci\u00f3n de punto ciego y ESC.<\/p>\n<p>El Outlander mostr\u00f3 en general un buen rendimiento, estructuras estables en impacto frontal, y el \u00e1rea de los pies de la versi\u00f3n PHEV mostr\u00f3 un rendimiento ligeramente peor que el de la versi\u00f3n ICE.<\/p>\n<p>El modelo mostr\u00f3 protecci\u00f3n adecuada a buena en las pruebas din\u00e1micas y de choque para adultos y protecci\u00f3n casi completa para ocupante infantil.
