Please proceed forward with caution.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We begin with Dream, AKA Clay, a 24-year-old American YouTuber of some 24 summers with a combined audience of more than 40 million subscribers across his channels. <a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/celebrities\/what-is-minecraft-youtuber-dreams-net-worth\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dream makes <em>Minecraft <\/em>content<\/a>. He releases music sometimes. He used to wear a mask, but now he doesn\u2019t as much.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Next, consider Cantu, a 20-year-old former child star and internet personality. Past credits include taking over as the voice of the main character in <em>The Amazing World of Gumball <\/em>in 2017 and voicing <a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/movies\/tmnt-every-version-of-leonardo-ranked-by-whether-his-leadership-would-inspire-us-to-throw-a-stranger-into-a-trash-compactor\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leonardo in 2023\u2019s <em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem<\/em><\/a><em>. <\/em>He\u2019s been nominated for both Annie and Young Artist awards, and his YouTube work under the pseudonym \u201cjunky janker\u201d has earned him nearly half a million followers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dream and Cantu have been friendly in the past, but recent allegations of Dream grooming members of his fan base seem to have precipitated unrest between the two Gen Z icons. Replying to a Dream parody Twitter account on Nov. 15, 2023, Cantu called Dream \u201can actual\u00a0pedophile.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Bro when u an actual pedophile u can\u2019t joke about being a pedophile <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/14.0.0\/72x72\/1f595.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd95\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/14.0.0\/72x72\/1f62d.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude2d\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/14.0.0\/72x72\/1f595.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd95\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TzQjuiqhYh\">https:\/\/t.co\/TzQjuiqhYh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; CAN2 (@ncantu) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ncantu\/status\/1724952343735947769?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 16, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Seemingly in response, Dream <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Dream\/status\/1725689665330761951\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tweeted a video<\/a> of Cantu riding in an Uber, seemingly inebriated and spouting threats, homophobic and ableist slurs, and self-aggrandizing assertions about his destiny as an immortal golden statue. Accusing his driver of having intelligence that needed to be \u201cbrought up from the f****** Mariana Trench,\u201d he went on to compare the people around him to \u201cants,\u201d claiming that it would take \u201c100,000 of them to take me down.\u201d It goes without saying that the video is decidedly NSFW.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Dream asserted that Cantu had physically assaulted him previously, and tried to again on the night in question.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Replying, Cantu stated he had \u201cslapboxed\u201d Dream. He also stated that while he had been rude to the duo\u2019s Uber driver, it was due to his impaired state. He stressed that he\u2019d tipped the driver substantially and that he\u2019d decided to cut back on drinking in light of the night\u2019s events. Dream, for his part, replied with screenshots of texts allegedly from said Uber driver, claiming that Cantu had not, in fact, tipped him.<\/p>\n<p>A charged social media back-and-forth continued, with unkind words and allegations on both sides. The YouTuber also alleged that he had never met Cantu before that night and made the video in question on being requested by the actor. <\/p>\n<p>Representatives for Cantu have yet to make a statement
