The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, more commonly known as the G-Wagen, sits at the pinnacle of luxury off-road vehicles. However, not everyone can afford a Rs 4 crore G-Wagen in India. So, what a lot of people are now doing is buying Maruti Suzuki\u2019s newest lifestyle off-roader, Jimny, and converting it to look like a baby Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen. Recently, another new Jimny converted with a similar body kit and other accessories has been shared online.<\/p>\n

Maruti Suzuki Jimny to G-Wagen<\/h2>\n

The pictures of this Maruti Suzuki Jimny to G-Wagen conversion have come courtesy of Azad 4X4<\/a> on Facebook. According to the post, this particular Jimny has been modified with a number of replacement parts from the G-Wagen kit by Azad 4X4. The list of all the parts that have been added to this particular car has been shared by the company in their post.<\/p>\n

Front changes<\/h2>\n

First off, let’s start with the changes on the front of this Maruti Suzuki Jimny. The company, in its post, has mentioned that the bonnet of the standard Jimny has been swapped with a brand new metal bonnet. They have also changed the front metal fenders on both sides on top of which the new bonnet sits. They have also provided an exactly same design to the lights on the fender. The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen also gets the same lights on the front fenders.<\/p>\n

Apart from these updates, the company has also changed the entire front grille of this car. It now resembles the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG\u2019s grille. For those who may not be aware, there are two different grille patterns that come with G-Wagens. The first is a horizontal grille that comes in the G350d variant. Meanwhile, the other is the AMG style vertically slatted grille that comes on the more expensive G63 AMG variant.<\/p>\n

This Jimny also gets Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen-styled LED projector headlights. The car comes with projector LED headlights from the company as well, but the design is a little different, and they miss out on the DRLs, which this aftermarket headlight gets. Apart from these, the front of this conversion project also gets an exact replica of the G63 AMG front bumper. The company has also added a massive Mercedes-Benz logo in place of the Suzuki logo.<\/p>\n

Side profile updates<\/h2>\n

Moving on to the side profile, not much has been changed except for a few parts. The first of these parts is the addition of brand new wider fender flare extensions. It has also been given new side steps that integrate with the new fender flares. Apart from these, the car has also been given a set of new exterior mirrors that look very similar to the ones that come on a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen. This particular car has also been given a set of bigger and wider alloy wheels and tires. The alloy wheels have been finished in high-gloss black.<\/p>\n

Rear changes<\/h2>\n

As for the changes on the rear end of this Jimny to G-Wagen project, the company has also provided it with a brand new G-Wagen style rear bumper and new LED tail lights. They have also added a Brabus-styled three-part roof spoiler on top as well. Another one of the most noticeable changes on this car is the addition of Mercedes-Benz G400 Squared-styled LED DRL marker lights on the roof at the front.<\/p>\n

On the interior side of things, the company has provided this Jimny with brand new leather upholstery. The seats have been finished in black and yellow leather with yellow stitching throughout. The pattern of the seat cover has also been inspired by the G-Wagen. A few carbon fiber bits can also be noted throughout the interior in places like the inside grab handles, steering wheel, air conditioning vents, and instrument cluster surrounds.<\/p>\n

Pricing and other details of this kit<\/h2>\n

We contacted the company that has created this Jimny conversion into G-Wagen and the pricing for this kit with complete installation and paint is Rs 4.5 lakh. The installation and painting process will be done by Azad 4×4 at their shop. This kit can also be shipped all across India and the price for the kit and shipping is Rs 4 lakh. The kit includes the following parts – front metal bonnet hood shock, front metal fender lhs \/rhs, front grille, G-Wagen style fender lights, G-Wagen front bumper, G-Wagen rear bumper, G-Wagen side mirror, G-Wagen rear bumper lights, G-Wagen exhaust light, G-Wagen rear roof spoiler, G-Wagen front roof marker and G-Wagen wider fender flares.<\/p>\n
