Chris y Julie Ramsey, marido y mujer aventureros, han completado su viaje totalmente el\u00e9ctrico al Polo Sur en la Ant\u00e1rtida.<\/p>\n

Su aventura de 10 meses y 30.000 kil\u00f3metros que comenz\u00f3 en el helado Mar \u00c1rtico en el Polo Norte Magn\u00e9tico de 1823, los ha visto recorrer los variados terrenos y condiciones de Norte, Centro y Sudam\u00e9rica antes de atravesar cuidadosamente el continente m\u00e1s remoto del planeta, para llegar al Polo Sur.<\/p>\n

Esta es la primera vez que un autom\u00f3vil, y mucho menos un veh\u00edculo el\u00e9ctrico, completa un viaje de este tipo.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A lo largo de largas distancias y terrenos todoterreno desafiantes, el veh\u00edculo de expedici\u00f3n totalmente el\u00e9ctrico, un Nissan Ariya con control en las cuatro ruedas e-4ORCE, ha superado las pruebas m\u00e1s duras a temperaturas extremas y grandes altitudes.<\/p>\n

El veh\u00edculo, est\u00e1ndar de f\u00e1brica sin modificaciones en el tren motriz ni en la bater\u00eda, fue modificado por los especialistas en movilidad polar Arctic Trucks para acomodar neum\u00e1ticos BF Goodrich de 39 pulgadas.<\/p>\n

Chris y Julie comenzaron a planificar Pole to Pole en 2017 despu\u00e9s de completar el Rally de Mongolia en su Nissan LEAF, la primera vez que se utilizaba un veh\u00edculo el\u00e9ctrico para afrontar el desaf\u00edo de 10.000 km.<\/p>\n

Reconocieron cu\u00e1nto inter\u00e9s podr\u00eda generar este tipo de aventuras \u00e9picas en los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos, adem\u00e1s de crear un legado de infraestructura de carga detr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

Sintieron que Pole to Pole era la aventura definitiva en materia de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos y la hicieron realidad a trav\u00e9s de un compromiso de colaboraci\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n con socios con ideas afines.<\/p>\n

Chris coment\u00f3: \u201cNo puedo creer que estemos en el Polo Sur. Despu\u00e9s de tantos a\u00f1os de planificaci\u00f3n, no parece real.
