Tesla has officially opened the order books for the refreshed Model 3 to North American buyers.<\/p>\n

Changes to the exterior are minor though noticeable, especially from the front, where the Tesla Model 3 has received new, simpler headlight units and a reprofiled front bumper that eliminates the previous versions’ more upturned front. New wheel designs for both the standard and the upgraded 19-inch wheels continue the same general theme as their predecessors, though updated with a more modern look. In the rear, we find the Tesla logo spelled across the back of the deck lid and revised taillights.<\/p>\n

The interior is where the most significant changes have occurred. A new dash swaps the previous generation’s bamboo veneer with fabric, and ambient light strips have been added to the doors and dash. Buyers will also get ventilated seats, a larger 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an 8.0-inch rear touchscreen mounted at the rear of the center console for backseat passengers. For better or worse, the turn signal and drive selector stalks have been replaced by steering wheel buttons and on-screen controls, respectively. Tesla says buyers can expect a quieter interior thanks to the expanded use of acoustic glass.<\/p>\n

The updated Tesla Model 3 is currently available in standard and long-range versions. Range estimates for the standard trim remain unchanged at 272 miles on a charge, while the long-range version slightly increases to 341 miles on a charge, up from 333 miles.<\/p>\n

Pricing for the new Tesla Model 3 remains the same as the previous versions, though both versions lost half their $7,500 federal tax credit as of January 2024.<\/p>\n

As of this writing, delivery estimates for the updated Tesla Model 3 Highland stand at January-February 2024. These dates may slip as customers begin placing orders for the new Tesla Model 3.<\/p>\n
