During Golden State Warriors media day, Chris Paul<\/a> was asked by an NBA reporter about possibly coming off the bench this season. The future Hall of Famer has started every game of his career. <\/p>\n

“I think anybody who knows me knows I’m all about winning,” Paul said. “Whatever I can do to help our team win. I know Coach and us, we are going to talk about it and see what he likes. We’ve been hooping all summer. I think for the season it’s going to be whatever to help our team win, and I think I’ve at least tried to show or prove that my entire career.”<\/p>\n

One league source told NBA Analysis Network that the Warriors will likely start Paul, Stephen Curry<\/a>, Klay Thompson<\/a>, Andrew Wiggins<\/a> and Draymond Green<\/a>. However, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr<\/a> could stagger Paul and Curry once the game starts. <\/p>\n

Paul averaged 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists last season for the Phoenix Suns while shooting 44.0% from the field, 37.5% from beyond the arc and 83.1% from the free-throw line. The Suns traded Paul to the Wizards in the Bradley Beal<\/a> trade and then Washington dealt him to Golden State. Paul was on a plane to New York when Phoenix traded him. He was then playing basketball at his gym in North Carolina when the Warriors acquired him.<\/p>\n

Paul is 38 and no longer a superstar in the NBA. However, he can focus on passing with the Warriors since Curry, Thompson and Wiggins will be the primary scorers.<\/p>\n

It’s going to be strange to see Paul play for the Warriors. In 2018, Paul’s fake laugh at Kerr went viral on social media. Most recently, Curry told Paul, “This ain’t 2014 no more” during a matchup against the Suns in March. However, Paul is looking forward to being on the other side of his rivalry with the Warriors.<\/p>\n
