At one point, King began arguing with a heckler, taunting them about not getting their money back, and even joked that <a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/celebrities\/who-is-elle-king-and-why-did-the-grand-ole-opry-apologize-for-her-performance\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">her cover was so bad it could potentially kill Dolly Parton<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Curtains were quickly drawn after the cover, cutting King&#8217;s set short, with the Grand Ole Opry apologizing for her performance to unhappy audience members after the show. widely-panned performance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Elle is a really great artist, she\u2019s a great girl and she\u2019s been going through a lot of hard things lately,&#8221; Parton said, likely referencing <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/music\/elle-king-destructive-marriage-substance-abuse-depression-ptsd-shake-the-spirit\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">King&#8217;s past struggle with substance abuse<\/a>, which she has been vocal about in the past.&nbsp;&#8220;She just had a little too much to drink.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Let\u2019s just forgive that and forget it and move on,&#8221; the
