Sergio Leone<\/strong>\u2019s classic 1968 western Once Upon a Time in the West<\/em><\/strong> is getting a 4K Ultra HD release! This is one of my all time favorite westerns, it\u2019s such a great film and I\u2019m excited to be able to experience it in a whole new way in 4K. <\/p>\n

One of the most iconic and influential movies ever made, Once Upon a Time in the West<\/em>, \u201chas been restored from the original 35mm Techniscope camera negative by Paramount\u2019s archive team, L\u2019Immagine Ritrovata and The Film Foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s explained that, \u201cThis restoration honors the 2007 Film Foundation photochemical restoration overseen by legendary director Martin Scorsese<\/strong> by matching its build and color palette. The result is the definitive home release of the film, which features the 165-minute extended cut restored to its glory.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film is \u201cSet in the dying days of the Old West, a struggle to control water in a dusty desert town embroils three hard-bitten gunmen in an epic clash of greed, honor, and revenge.\u201d<\/p>\n
