This summer weather is the reason I got this foundation in the first place. It’s perfect for applying over thick coats of shiny SPFs, as I get coverage like at a liquid foundation and a setting powder in one. So there’s less layers of makeup on my face and the skin is dry-to-the-touch. Coverage is surprisingly good and buildable. It’s capable of covering red blemish marks and under eye circles, but some of my darker freckles are visible. Gosh even has a shade light enough for me. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

BENEFIT Dandelion WANDERful World Mini Blush<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
A nice light pink blush. It’s not as pigmented as my other two Benefit blushes, Willa and Shellie<\/a>, but to be fair it is a very light shade, so obviously you need to apply a bit more, but it creates a lovely flush. Formula of these is high quality, as expected for the price. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

BOURJOIS Little Round Pot Blusher<\/span> <\/a><\/div>\n

This shade changed my opinion about these blushes, which I long disliked. It’s the pinkest in the range and has small gold shimmer. Pigmentation is not the best, at least from the start. I always use the same small dense brush with it (I only use it for this blush) and I find I don’t have to layer it as much anymore as when it was new. It’s one most long lasting blushes I’ve tried. The scent of these is just gorgeous, but sadly it’s slowly disappearing.   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

ESSENCE Lash Like a Boss Mascara Waterproof<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
I have quite a few opened mascaras at the moment, mostly waterproof ones, so I’ve been rotating them and re-testing them to see which one impresses me months after being opened. This one is the winner, thought Pupa’s<\/a> isn’t far behind but that one is wetter. Waterproof mascaras often have dry formulas that don’t create much volume, but this one rivals regular formulas. It adds plenty of volume, even more length and defines the lashes much better than their Lift & Curl Volumising Mascara Waterproof<\/a> that was launched in the last Essence update. This mascara was pretty terrible when freshly opened, especially at definition, so it ended at the bottom of the drawer, but time was certainly kind to it. It holds my lashes curled well. <\/div>\n

REVLON So Fierce! Big Bad Lash Mascara<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
I have several opened regular mascaras too, but this one was my “good spare” that I accidentally opened when I was in a hurry. And it just reminded me how great it is. One of the best mascaras I’ve tried so far, though it is a regular formula and it of course doesn’t hold my lashes curled like a waterproof one, but it makes them look pretty. Mine grow criss-cross, so even if a mascara is defining, it often can’t fan them out nicely and there are still visible slits after application, but this one sets them in their place, every lash is defined, with more coats it doesn’t start to stick them together, it gives a lot of length and volume. This formula leaves the lashes still soft even with two-three coats.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

MOROCCANOIL Restorative Hair Mask<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
I can always rely on Moroccanoil making my hair look better and not just feel better. There’s a lot of protein masks that just do their job of making the hair less brittle, but few also help me with frizz and adding shine. This has argan oil, shea butter and canola oil high on the list, but only one hydrolysed protein which is much lower, so it reads more like a moisturising mask than a protein one, but it\u2019s overall richer than Hydrating mask <\/a>which I also love. It leaves my hair nourished, my hair dries much smoother than at for example Redken Extreme I recently tried (or even Olaplex) and it looks better. But I don’t like how the already expensive mask is getting more expensive\u2026  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

SEBASTIAN PROFESSIONAL Dark Oil Hair Oil<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
Actually I could include any one my thicker high-end oils here (Moroccanoil, Orofluido,\u2026), as they all work about the same. I haven’t been using these oils on damp hair before drying anymore for a while now, mainly because I already have plenty of steps and I thought I don’t need it. But I’ve been trying to use this one up and I’ve been using it exclusively on dry hair until I slapped a ton of it on damp hair and my hair dried so much smoother and overall nicer, less tangled. I guess I should be skipping that step anymore. Scent is not my favourite because it’s very woody smoky, incense-y – I thought I would get used to it, but it’s just not that nice.<\/div>\n

MOROCCANOIL Ceramic Round Hair Brush 55 mm<\/span><\/div>\n
I used to use this all the time, but since I got Remington’s round brush hair dryer<\/a>, which is so much more convenient and easy to use, I haven’t touched it. As good as Remington is, my fringe cooperated for a day at most, then it ended sideways and I didn’t know that big Remington brush is not ideal for my fringe. Then I used Moroccanoil round brush one day and it was so much better. Actually this round brush is capable of creating a smoother blow out and it tames the hair better. The only bad side is how clumsy such round brushes are when you’re also holding a heavy hair dryer in the other hand, so I’ll likely pick up Remington a lot more, but this brush is excellent for frizzy hair. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n

CERAVE SA Renewing Foot Cream<\/span><\/div>\n
Another impressive moisturiser from Cerave. I was already a big fan of the hand cream and this has a similar thick and nourishing texture that manages to absorb fast.  It claims to exfoliate too, not just moisturise and it contains 3 essential ceramides, salicylic acid and ammonium lactate (AHA). I haven’t noticed any exfoliation (I don’t notice it at large percentage urea creams nor other AHA foot creams), but it’s a more pleasant formula to use than any other cream I tried. <\/div>\n

I might be jumping the gun here since I haven’t had it long and there is all sorts of things that could be wrong with it which I haven’t had a chance to discover yet, but it’s so much better than my old Balea one. It’s much stronger, doesn’t slow down or stop as quickly when pressed against the skin, the rollers are rougher and better, it’s got a good shape so I can reach places, it’s rechargeable and it’s also waterproof (only enough to be rinsed off, but ok). So far it looks like it was a well spent 15 \u20ac. One minus I can say so far is they only included a rough roll and I miss something that would add the last smoothing touch. <\/div>\n

MOONSHOT Micro Glassyfit Cushion SPF 50<\/b> – I’m a big fan of cushion foundations because they are so easy to use, but I have yet to find one in a shade that fits me. I have two from Missha<\/a>, both too dark, but swatches of this one look promising. Ingredients are also great and it has an SPF.<\/div>\n

L’OREAL PARIS Infallible Matte Resistance Liquid Lipstick<\/b> – These are new and I think not here (yet?). I always like to try a new matte liquid lipstick.<\/div>\n

EVELINE Serum Shot Multi Peptide<\/b> – I saw this on DMs website along with a few other versions. I’m not a big fan of Eveline based on experience with their products so far, but I see they try with the formulas to be interesting. This serum has a ginger extract, carnosine, aminoacids, peptides, glutamic acid, ceramides, arginine and cholesterol.<\/div>\n

AVEO Haar Mascara Glamorous Glossy<\/b> – an anti-frizz, smoothing mascara that Got2b<\/a> and Balea<\/a> had for years. Now it looks like Muller has it too. By the way, the wand on my Got2b just snapped during use. <\/div>\n

GARNIER Ambre Solaire Sensitive Expert+ Ultraleichte Sonnenmilch LFS 50 \/ Sensitive Advanced Hypoalergenic Milk<\/b> – I don’t know if I want precisely this, but I would just like to find an ultra light body sunscreen that doesn’t make me feel sticky all day. I use Sun Dance<\/a> because I trust its protection, it’s affordable and it smells so great (classic sunscreen scent some hate), but I’d prefer something with a dry-to-the-touch finish if it exists. This one appears to be most popular in the drugstores, but I don’t know if I can trust reviews. <\/div>\n

DERMACOL Cover Xtreme Corrector<\/b> – Dermacol is well known for their high coverage foundation<\/a>. I saw they have this Maybelline The Eraser <\/a>inspired concealer which claims to be high coverage, waterproof and has an SPF 30 – sounds similar to the foundation, but I like the packaging. <\/div>\n

ORLY Breatheable 1-Step Manicure Sheer Luck<\/b> – this claims to be a permeable formula that allows oxygen and water to get through the nail polish to condition the nail and prevent the nail polish from chipping. I’m more drawn to it because the shade looks nice. <\/div>\n

CATRICE Nail Lacquer 149 Vanilla Chai<\/b> – Another nude shade that looks nice on the swatches. <\/div>\n

SEBASTIAN PROFESSIONAL Penetraitt Masque<\/b> – a mask for damaged, colour-treated hair that has nice reviews. I used to have Potion 9<\/a>, which was great. I should look into that one again too. <\/div>\n
