Hyundai has launched a campaign in support of Busan’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo and is displaying a series of striking art cars in Paris, France.
In total, the South Korean car manufacturer has created no less than 10 art cars that will be showcased at the Busan Expo Symposium and a K-Pop concert to be held in Paris from October 9-15. The 10 art cars will be provided to the Korean delegation attending the event and include both a Hyundai Ioniq 5 and a Kia EV6.
While in Paris, the art cars will be displayed near historic landmarks including the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum. Each of them are wrapped in a colorful graffiti design with famous imagery from Busan, including ocean waves, the Gwangan Bridge, seagulls, and a slogan that reads ‘Busan is Ready.’ Each of the art cars was created in partnership with Korean graffiti artist Jay Flow.

Hyundai believes that its campaign in France will help to spread the message of Busan’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo to officials from BIE member countries and tourists around the world. The theme for Busan’s bid is ‘Transforming Our World, Navigating Toward a Better Future’.
This isn’t the first time that South Korean’s largest car manufacturer has thrown its support behind Busan’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo. Last year it wrapped a handful of vehicles with the Busan World Expo logo during the 172nd General Assembly of the BIE in Paris as well as the Davos Forum in Switzerland last January. Hyundai has also displayed a variety of art cars in cities such as New York, New Delhi, and Jakarta over the past year.
