The Chicago Bulls are in trouble in the Eastern Conference if they don’t keep up before the NBA season. Both the Celtics and Bucks got significantly better by acquiring Jrue Holiday and Damian Lillard respectively. Now, the Bulls can make headlines by trading for 76ers’ James Harden.
Harden has already expressed that he wants to be traded, and to the Clippers in specific. However, as we saw in the Lillard trade, any team with a better package can step in and steal the trade. The Bulls have some assets they can give up if they want to acquire Harden.
Zach LaVine of the Bulls showed signs of frustration last season and is making traction as a player that wants out. That can be the opening for the 76ers to step in and make an offer.

They can give up Harden in a straight one for one package. They should throw in Jaden Springer, for salary cap purposes and for the Bulls to be interested.
In this case, the Bulls get much needed guard play. Harden is still a terrific playmaker with the ball in his hands. He averaged nearly eleven assists a game last season, being the main facilitator on the 76ers.
On the other hand, the 76ers get a formidable scorer and athletic LaVine. He is also still entering his prime and would complement Joel Embiid, who is looking to be competitive in the East.

The Bulls could also use the opportunity to trade Harden to his desired destination in the Clippers. It can be a three team trade or just a means to flip him for younger players. That would also consist of the Clippers giving up some of their younger guard play. Perhaps that can be an option for the Bulls, but it could prove difficult if either party is uninterested.
