“You ready to ride?” “I thought you’d never ask…” Paramount+ has finally launched the main official trailer for Lawmen: Bass Reeves, the next new Taylor Sheridan gritty western series. This follows up two other teaser trailers released before – with a debut date set for November. Bass Reeves is a former slave turned American law enforcement official; historically the first Black deputy U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi River. David Oyelowo stars as Bass Reeves – known as the greatest frontier hero in American history, who worked in the Post-Reconstruction era as a federal peace officer in the Indian Territory, capturing some of the most dangerous criminals without ever being wounded. Despite arresting over 3,000 outlaws during the course of his career, the weight of the badge was heavy, and he wrestled with its moral and spiritual cost to his beloved family.
