Across the river from Detroit — and technically south of its American neighbor — the city of Windsor, Ontario was the longtime heart of the Canadian auto industry, with all of the Big Three setting up subsidiary factories there. This scene along Wyandotte Street, east of the downtown core, was snapped in 1950, according to the feature shows highlighted on the Tivoli Theatre’s marquee. Wyandotte Street is still bustling and the theater remains, but it was renovated and renamed Old Walkerville Theatre in 2014.
