To rejuvenate the aging Sonet sub-compact SUV, Kia India has unveiled the all-new Sonet facelift in India. The company, at the moment, has fully unveiled the model, but its price announcement will take place next year. Now, in order to promote its newly facelifted Sonet, the company has released a brand-new TVC (Television commercial). The new TVC highlights all of the newly updated design elements on the exterior, along with the newly added features on the inside.
Sonet facelift TVC
The all-new TVC of the Kia Sonet facelift has been shared on YouTube by the official channel of Kia India. The theme of this TVC is that the Sonet facelift has been imagined as an Alpha male. During the entire commercial, a voiceover highlights each of the new Sonet facelift’s features and compares it with a person of very high value. It shows the extensively redesigned exterior of the Sonet as well as the updated interior along with its new safety features.
It starts off with the voiceover asking a question: how do these “normies” do these things? This question was directed to other cars of this segment, emphasizing that the Sonet facelift is different and is equivalent to an Alpha male which does not fit in with the regular crowd. The video then compares the build and other attributes of the Sonet facelift with a person of high caliber. While making these comparisons, the video shows all of the features such as new front-end design with new LED headlights, new DRLs, new front bumper, powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, new digital instrument gauge cluster, new rear design, and a lot of other changes.

Exterior updates
As mentioned, the Sonet facelift has been provided with a number of new updates. This already popular sub-compact SUV gets an extensive exterior design upgrade, and this time around it has been made even more aggressive. The car comes with a brand-new LED headlight set which also gets new and bigger L-shaped LED DRLs that extend on the corners. It also gets a new Tiger nose grille at the front which reminds us of its elder sibling, the Seltos facelift. The front bumper has also been updated and now looks a lot more aggressive. It also gets sleek LED fog lights.
On the side profile, the new 2024 Sonet facelift gets a newly designed more aggressive 16-inch directional diamond-cut alloy wheel set. The overall silhouette has been kept the same as the outgoing model. Moving on to the rear, it has been given a set of brand new LED taillights which now are a lot smaller and rectangular in shape. They are now also connected to give the SUV a modern appeal like the rest of the cars in its segment. The rear bumper has also been tweaked and now comes with a massive silver skid plate.
Interior updates
Coming to the interior of the new Sonet facelift, it has been given a decent amount of upgrades. The car now comes equipped with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster. It also gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay along with 70 other connected car features. Other additions on the inside include a new 4-way adjustable powered driver seat and ventilation for both front seats. It also gets Active ambient lighting and a Bose premium audio system with 7 speakers. The car now also gets black and brown leather upholstery.
Safety features upgrades
Kia India has also improved on the safety aspect of the new Sonet facelift. The car now comes equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill start assist control, 360-degree rearview camera, and tire pressure monitoring system. It also gets Level 1 ADAS which includes features like forward collision warning and avoidance assist, lane keep assist, lane following assist, lane departure warning, high beam assist, driver attention warning, and leading vehicle departure alert.
Powertrain specifications
On the powertrain front, the company has not changed anything and it continues to come powered by the same engine options as before. It gets the same 1.2-litre 83 PS naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a standard 5-speed manual transmission. A 1.0-litre 120 PS turbocharged petrol engine, offered with 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT gearbox options. And lastly, there is a 1.5-litre 115 PS diesel engine being offered with three transmission options – 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, and 6-speed automatic.
