No, it’s not a stolen vehicle, the Hamburglar doesn’t dabble with automotive theft, but he is apparently back to make his grand getaway with his favorite McDonald’s meals. This time, he’s hamburglaring across the Golden Arches in style – the McDonald’s corporation recently equipped the quirky character with a custom 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, otherwise called the “Burgercuda.” Are we lovin’ it?
Equipped with a burger warming center console and plenty of cup holders to support the Hamburglar’s criminal tendencies, the Burgercuda is quite an interesting custom car. The interior is adorned in McDonald’s related décor, from the Hamburgler striped seats to the American cheese shifter and the custom Burgercuda script work.
Created by Sean Smith Designs, the custom Plymouth Barracuda’s exterior carries the Hamburglar’s white, black, and red color theme and features a “Robble Robble” script on the shaker hood and an abbreviated version on the license plate. Also note the bun-like wheel caps. Included in the livery is a QR code, which will send people to a website where they can buy Hamburglar merchandise and enter for a chance to win a McDonald’s Arch Card (gift card). McDonald’s calls this new promotion the “Hamburgler Watch Sweepstakes,” and it has Mayor McCheese feeling rather stressed.
