Josh Green stepped up with 18 points, and Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed 14 for the Mavericks, but the team’s overall performance suffered, especially from 3-point territory, where they managed only 6-29. This efficiency dip came against the NBA’s top-scoring defense, with the Wolves allowing their lowest points total of the season.
“I wouldn’t say we ran out of gas. I would say we got hit, and we didn’t hit back,” Green said.
The Mavericks’ depleted lineup, further strained by injuries to other key players, struggled to muster a response, falling significantly behind in the third quarter. This setback adds to Dallas’s challenges in securing a playoff spot, with the team experiencing a slump in recent games.

“It looked like a very typical Mike Conley game,” Finch said. “He did a great job of running the show, communicating with all the guys, keeping us well organized, and then hitting big shots.”
