Lately, we have been seeing a lot of videos where Mahindra Thar drivers are creating issues on the road. In fact, these incidents have increased so much that they have started creating a bad image for the vehicle itself. We have come across several incidents lately where Thar owners are misusing the imposing look of the SUV on the road and are breaking traffic laws. Here we have a video where a foolish Mahindra Thar driver is seen taking a U-turn on an expressway.
The video of the foolish act has been shared in the Reddit group. The video doesn’t share the exact location but it looks somewhere in North India. Why do we think so? It is winter in North India, and most bikers seen in this video are wearing winter jackets. Coming back to the video, the Mahindra Thar driver was already driving on the wrong side of the road. We can see a toll booth in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Just before the toll gate, the Mahindra Thar driver decided to take a U-turn.
The car driver turned the car around without considering other road users. He even managed to create a block on the road. It should be noted that the Thar was on an expressway or highway where most cars approach at high speeds as there are generally no obstructions or obstacles on the road. The chances of these vehicles crashing into this Mahindra Thar were pretty high. However, nothing like that happened.
The oncoming traffic spotted the Thar in the middle of the road and decided to slow down. Bikers found a gap and drove through the gap. The Mahindra Thar driver then made the other road users wait and then took a turn by taking his own time. The Mahindra Thar driver, without any doubt, created inconvenience to other road users. Looking at the video, it looks like the video was recorded by someone who was standing on a foot overbridge.
It looks like this stunt was simply done for the sake of recording a video that can be posted on social media. Lately, we have been seeing a lot more cases where people are actually risking their lives and the lives of other road users to gain fame on social media. Cops across the country are now keeping an eye on social media to track such violations. They even issue hefty fines against so-called social media influencers who violate traffic laws.
In this case, the Mahindra Thar driver violated multiple rules. He was driving on the wrong side of the road. Other than that, he also created a traffic jam on the road by taking a U-turn. The registration number of the SUV is not clear; however, we hope that local traffic police come across this video and take necessary action against the offenders. Recently, we came across another video where a Mahindra Thar with illegal police siren and lights was involved in a road rage incident in Gurugram. The Mahindra Thar driver got into a fight with a Grand Vitara driver who did not let him overtake.
