Adidas is back with a new electric pair of Predator boots. The new “Energy Citrus” footwear pack includes a solar-inspired Predator 24.
The vibrant colorway is a nod to the ever-popular Predator Accelerator “Electricity,” reintroduced by legends David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane in 2018. Both players famously sported the original Predator Accelerator and Electricity OG release in 1998—an iconic style that was and still is the boot to beat.
Let’s hope the new Predator 24 “Energy Citrus” colorway gets a fruitful release. The 2018 version was extremely exclusive, with only 1999 pairs made.
The 2024 version is bursting in luminous yellow with the trademark fold-over tongue, this one in black. A red strap, insole, and soleplate complete the look, and Predator is imprinted on the bottom.
Italy and Aston Villa midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo is the frontman this round, showcasing the boots in the brand’s latest Instagram campaign. “the three stripes suit him,” indeed.
Available now at Adidas.com for $280 a pop, still much more affordable than the $4,000 Adidas Predator Accelerator Electricity collector’s item from 1998.
