The Olympic Games are an important gathering of the worlds greatest athletes that allows for different nations to engage in friendly competition and celebrate their civic pride. Given the tremendous amount of effort and resources that are poured into the games, it is unsurprising that there are many great movies about the Olympics. The underrated sports film Race explores one of the most fascinating competitions in the history of the Olympics with its study of Jesse Owens, an African-American athlete who won the Gold Medals in the 100-meter run, 200-meter run, long jump, and 100 x 4 meter relay at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin.
