This is very similar to another doc premiering at the 2024 Venice Film Festival called One to One: John & Yoko - which is also a time capsule film about John & Yoko in 1972. Epic Pictures + Dread have revealed the full official trailer for a freaky horror movie titled Beezel, a "terrifying tale that cover 60 years and three victims to a bloodthirsty New England witch." And she looks disgusting! As far as we can tell, this hasn't played at any festivals - it's getting a quick theatrical release before it's on VOD later in September before the horror season really kicks off. "You want to be party of the family, you go through this!" Utopia has revealed the teaser for the fraternity thriller tilted The Line, which is now releasing this fall. It originally premiered in 2023 at the Tribeca Film Festival last year, with stops at the Zurich & Sarastoa Film Festivals as well. The Line is a campus thriller that plunges into the dangerous world of college frats and blind adherence to tradition. Alex Wolff as Tom, a scholarship student seduced into the alluring, dangerous world of college fraternities. Desperate to escape his working-class background, Tom is torn between a new romance with a classmate and the machinations of his fraternity president, becoming ensnared in a perilous game of ambition and loyalty. "Zoe Saldana brings a burning intensity..." Netflix has unveiled their teaser trailer for the acclaimed film Emilia Pérez, a musical about a Mexican cartel leader transitioning to a woman. This is the latest film by award-winning French filmmaker Jacques Audiard (A Prophet, Rust & Bone, Dheepan, Sisters Brothers), and it premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year where it won Jury Prize & Best Actress prizes. The Cinema Guild in NYC has revealed an official trailer for an indie film titled Matt and Mara, an unconventional and awkward romantic comedy made by acclaimed filmmaker Kazik Radwanski. This premiered at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival earlier in the year, and it also played at the Melbourne Film Festival in Australia. A young professor struggles in her marriage, only to meet Matt, a friend from her past who wanders onto her university campus. When Mara's husband unexpectedly cancels plans to drive her to an out-of-town conference, Matt accompanies Mara on the trip instead. Along the way, the tension surrounding their undefined relationship slowly grows... Not to be confused with Natalie Morales' other pregnancy comedy also called Plan B that's now streaming on Hulu - why call them the same thing? I don't know. This one could get a different title, it doesn't need to be called Plan B at all... When a drunken one night stand with her awkward, weirdo neighbor leaves her pregnant, a woman decides to quickly sleep with a successful businessman and tell him he’s the father of her unborn baby. Comedian / actress Jamie Lee (not Jamie Lee Curtis) stars as Piper & the goofy neighbor she doesn't want is played by Jon Heder of Napoleon Dynamite fame. Poor guy. The ensemble cast includes Shannon Elizabeth, Tom Berenger, Kate Flannery, Michael Lombardi, Vernon Davis, Subhah Agarwal, and Daniel K. Isaac. Netflix has launched a bloody, violent, completely badass new red band trailer for their anime sci-fi series Terminator Zero. It launches on Netflix streaming next week - starting on August 29th. Created and executive produced by Mattson Tomlin and executive produced by Skydance Animation by Production IG Studios in Japan, the 8-episode series will be part of the Terminator universe but focuses on new characters. Well Go USA has unveiled the official US trailer for a Thai dramedy movie titled How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies in English, originally known as just Lahn Mah in Thai. Made by Thai filmmaker Pat Boonntipat, this already opened in theaters in Thailand earlier this year, and it will be soon getting a US release in select theaters (this Sept). After his grandmother is diagnosed with cancer, a scheming young man moves in to care for her, motivated by a desire to secure her fortune for himself. Unfortunately for him, it turns out that winning Grandma's favor is no easy feat. This stars Putthipong Assaratanakul (aka Billkin) as M, Usha Seamkhum as Amah, Sanya Kunakorn, Sarinrat Thomas, Pongsatorn Jongwilas, & Tontawan Tantivejaku. I have to say - this film actually looks really sweet and sentimental, a nice comedy but also a heartwarming story about these two connecting despite his original intentions.
