First Teaser for Werewolf Adventure Comedy ‘Family Pack’ from France

"The beasts are coming." "There are beasts, too?" Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer for a French adventure comedy movie titled Family Pack, and even though it has werewolves in it, it's less of a horror than it is an action movie. Made by a French filmmaker named François Uzan, not to be confused with the other French filmmaker François Ozon. When night falls, and the players have their eyes closed, werewolves make victims among the villagers. The film is based a board game (known as "The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow" from Zygomatic), and it's about a family that is sent back to medieval times when they start playing the game. Kind of like the Jumanji movies, where they get sucked into the game - but this has werewolves in it they must fight off. Family Pack stars Franck Dubosc, Suzanne Clément, Jonathan Lambert, Grégory Fitoussi, Bruno Gouery, and Jean Reno. There isn't a ton of footage in this teaser, but it does look like it should be plenty of fun for the whole family. Introduce your kids to ...

"This ain't gonna wipe your slate clean..." Vertigo Films has revealed the second official trailer for a gritty crime thriller meets action film titled Bad Hombres, from filmmaker John Stalberg Jr (following Muzzle last year). This one already opened in the US earlier this year (here's the first trailer) and is out now, this is another trailer from the UK distributor. Two undocumented immigrants looking for work take a job digging a hole, only to discover their employers are psychopathic criminals. Bad Hombres stars Diego Tinoco and Hemky Madera as Cesar and Alfonso, respectively, along with Luke Hemsworth, Thomas Jane, Nick Cassavetes, Paul Johansson, with Tyrese Gibson playing "The Man With No Name." Full Trailer for Chris Pine’s ‘Poolman’ Comedy with Bening & DeVito

"You waded out into the deep end, and now you're drowning right before our eyes." Vertical has debuted the full official trailer for the wacky stoner comedy titled Poolman, marking the directorial debut of actor Chris Pine. He shot this film in 2022 when the pandemic was still on, and now it's set for release starting in May in theaters. This initially premiered at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival last fall, but got terrible reviews (and even a few walk outs) from most critics at the festival. Poolman is described as a stoner riff on the noir classic Chinatown. It's about a hapless dreamer and would-be philosopher who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block in sunny LA. When he uncovers the greatest water heist, he does what he can to protect his precious city. Chris Pine also stars in this as Darren Barrenman, the titular "poolman", with Annette Bening, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Jason Leigh, DeWanda Wise, Stephen Tobolowsky, Clancy Brown, John Ortiz, & Ray Wise. Yeah this looks super funky and kind of ...

Awesome Teaser Trailer for Indian Action Movie ‘Kill’ from Nikhil Bhat

"We hope you enjoyed the ride." Lionsgate has launched a teaser trailer for the awesome action movie Kill, from filmmaker Nikhil Bhat. This incredible film premiered last year at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival in the Midnight Madness section, and it also played at the Sitges Film Festival - where I caught up with it. This film is an action movie on the scale of The Raid, but set entirely on a moving train with fights happening in the passenger cars. When thugs board a train and start attacking passengers in a train heist, the train soon becomes a combat battleground as a pair of commandos face the entire army of invading bandits. Starring Lakshya, Tanya Maniktala and Raghav Juyal. You have never seen anything like this before!! I totally lost my shit watching this film last year, and my review is quoted in this trailer stating a fact - this is "a new landmark in action cinema." I am so excited that this is getting a full on theatrical release in the US soon! A must see in theaters ...
