Concert Review: Baroness- Sweet Oblivion Tour 2023

In support of their sixth studio "Stone" heavy metal group Baroness with special guests Soul Glo and Spotlights made a stop at the quaint Town Ballroom set deep in the heart of Buffalo, NY. With both the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres being out of town on this post Thanksgiving weekend, the historic music venue was the place to be on an unseasonably snowless night.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen on the Run in Action Thriller ‘Jackdaw’ Trailer

"Jack - let's just leave our old baggage at the door." Vertigo Releasing has revealed an official trailer for an minimalistic action thriller from the UK called Jackdaw, marking the feature debut of filmmaker Jamie Childs (known for his work directing eps of "Doctor Who", "His Dark Materials", "The Sandman", "Willow"). This premiered at both Fantastic Fest & Sitges Film Festival this year, playing at these two most prestigious genre festivals. A former motocross champion and army vet is now caring for his younger brother. Broke, he agrees to do an open water pick up of a mysterious illegal package in the North Sea. The film then sends him on a journey through the nocturnal underworld of northern England's industrial wasteland. Most of the film follows Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Jack Dawson (hence "Jackdaw") on his motorbike, trying to stay ahead of the other drug dealers and criminals after him. The cast includes Jenna Coleman, Thomas Turgoose, and Rory McCann. This is a slick thriller, I quite enjoyed it - it's worth a look whenever it comes your way. Here's the first ...
